Cheap tips about Shopping

If you want to buy cheap food:
For cheap food the best place to go is Lidl in Moore Street because most of the food is very cheap for a pretty good quality. Sometimes they do some promotions like the Italian or the Mexican week so you can prepare an original dinner. You can even find toasters, kettles, make up, radios, flowers, printers… depending on the arrivals.
In Moore Street there’re also a lot of shops selling calling cards, food from Arabic and Asian countries, fruits and vegetables.
Off course you’re not going to find everything you need but at least it’s cheaper than if you’re going to any other supermarket.

If you want cheap designer clothes:
TK-Max in St Stephen’s Green shopping centre sells discount designer clothes. Sometimes the difference with the original price is big (it can be up to 60%) and you can get haute couture clothes for a reasonable price. If you’re going there you have to be patient because the queue can be long and as the store is quite big it takes a lot of time to have a look at everything.

If you need basic clothes:
Penneys is well-know for being a cheap clothes shop. But you can find much more: they offer super competitive prices for shoes, underwear, swim suits, household linens, bags, and beauty products. The clothes may not be very original but we always need good basics!

If you want to do a good deed:
There’re a lot of charity shops in Mary Street and Georges Street where you can buy second-hand goods donated by members of the public. Because the items for sale are obtained for free, the items can be sold at very low prices. After costs are paid, all the profits go to charities.

If you need household linens:
There’re few Guineys shops in Earl and Talbot Streets (near the Spire). They always have good deals for blankets, duvets, towels, curtains, cushions and dish towels… everything you need for household.
You also can find this kind of product in the discount department of Arnotts in Henry Street and Boyers in Earl Street.
